Responsibilities

 

ITCON is looking for a skilled, motivated Business Analyst to support the requirements gathering process for the redesign and migration of Federal websites to Drupal 8. The Business Analyst will be responsible for using JIRA to document and manage requirements for multiple Federal projects, and for developing requirements from written documents, multi-media and verbal discussions.

 

The ideal candidate will be organized, have a demonstrated ability to work with customers and stakeholders to elicit and translate requirements into Agile Scrum User Stories.  While working collaboratively in a team environment, the Business Analyst will be expected to use his or her analyst skills to convert requirements into language programmers can use to code requirements. In addition, the Business Analyst is expected to participate and contribute to various meetings such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint retrospectives.     

 

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience with Atlassian JIRA and be able to work with teams and customers to create and maintain detailed process documentation, while clearly communicating requirements to stakeholders, internal development teams, and management.

 

Required Skills/Qualifications

 

·        Bachelor's degree in IT or related field is required

·        Minimum of 2-3 years as a Business Analyst

·        Experience with requirements gathering

·        Knowledge and experience with JIRA

·        Knowledge of Windows, Unix, and Linux

·        Experience with Agile Scrum

·        Experience presenting information to diverse audiences

·        Demonstrated communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators.

·        Ability to handle multiple/conflicting projects and deadlines

 

Desired Skills/Qualifications

 

·        Certified Business Analyst

·        Experience with Change Management

·        Experience with Configuration Management

·        Knowledge of Information Security

·        Advanced knowledge and experience with SDLC process and artifacts

·        Knowledge and experience in information architecture and system design
